SALT & STONE: PATHWAYS TO PUBLICATION, WITH SAM STONE
Penzance Lit Fest
Engine Room at the Exchange
Wednesday July 8th @1pm

If you missed our launch at the Cornish Indie Book Festival, then our talk at the Penzance Lit Fest is the perfect opportunity to find out more about how salt & stone evolved.

salt & stone was the outcome of an open call by Cornish publisher Hermitage Press for fiction exploring what it means to be shaped by isolation, erosion, tradition or the power of place, met with an overwhelming response.

A collection of 12 short stories, which seeks to capture the raw essence of Cornwall – its weathered coastlines, tight-knit communities, quiet (and not-so-quiet) storms and enduring beauty was subsquently created.

Emily Ould, Helen Trevaskis, Jakki Magowan and Chloe Statham Watkins will be talking  to Sam Stone, Hermitage Press CEO about being a Cornish writer, the inspiration behind their stories and their expectations of working with a small publisher, as opposed to self-publishing or chasing one of the Big Five. They will also be reading snippets of their stories.

Tickets are still available for £6 and if you buy a signed book from us on the day we will reduce the price to compensate for the ticket price so you get a copy of the book ad your ticket for just £13.50 - only a £1 more than the books RRP.
