We are an award winning Indie Cornish publisher & specialist bookseller based in Penryn, Cornwall who are dedicated to showcasing the talent of Cornish Writers.
Launched in 2020 by Dr Paul McCartney-Taylor, the press was set up with the intention of creating publishing opportunities for Cornish writers, and Paul subsequently set about unearthing a wealth of talent whose voices deserved to be heard.
In the five years under Paul's guidance the press created six amazing books from the initial open call for submissions in 2021. These books successfully showcase the unique voices of Kath Morgan, Claire Dwyer, Polly Roberts, Robin Falvey, and Scott Jones.
Paul's final contribution to the success of the press was to co-ordinate and publish the award winning short story anthology - Twelve Stories for Twelve Sections which was produced in collaboration with the Cornwall National Landscape organisation and featured the work of twelve renowned Cornish authors,
Paul stepped back from the press this year for personal reasons, handing over the reins to freelance writer - Sam Stone - whose first task was to create a shiny new home for Cornish writing by amalgamating two of the largest Cornish writing communities - The Writers Collective and Cornwall Writers - into the press.
