When Sue finished her last book, she said she wouldn’t write another book as it was too time-consuming when still pursuing a career as a journalist. But then the new TV series of Poldark came along!

So she picked up her pen once more to follow Poldark's steps for another book of walks in what turned out to be the wettest winter in Cornwall for over 100 years. Rain hampered much of Sue's progress as she diligently researched the many places that are associated with Winston Graham's books as well as the original TV series, providing an appropriately tempestuous atmosphere.
