Join our hour-long workshop, where guided exercises and thoughtful prompts will introduce you to practical techniques for breathing life into your characters. You’ll explore their desires, quirks, and inner worlds in depth.

Lamorna will share her unique approach to deepening emotional authenticity, sparking imagination, and helping your stories resonate with truth and vitality.


Former English teacher, Amy Lamorna Ireland runs a successful business helping children and adults bring stories, ideas to life and unlock their potential as confident writers and readers. Her workshops are designed to inspire creativity and strengthen literacy skills. Amy is also a successful novelist and short story writer. A dedicated wife and mother, Lamorna embarked on her publishing journey in 2020 and has since released three novels set in Cornwall: Unexpected Beginnings,  Unexpected Truths and Along a Cornish Creek. She is also a co-author of two successful Cornwall Writers anthologies: Cornwall: Secret & Hidden and Cornwall: Beneath & Beyond.

* OUR TICKETS ARE DIGITAL, so please choose to pick them up as you will be asked to sign in on the day by one of our staff to activate your reservation - please arrive fifteen minutes before the event is due to start to take your seats and feel free to browse in the book fair or take advantage of our refreshment opportunities before, in-between and after your event/s. 
If you book your tickets to be shipped to you there will be a £5 charge,
